Inspired by the most recent FIFA Women’s World Cup, and the overall growth of women’s football. This infographic shows the history of physical attendance of the FIFA women’s tournament, form its origins in 1991. There have been 9 tournaments over the course of 32 years, and the attendance level of games have increased over time. The most recent FIFA event here in Australia broke many records. It was also the first games to be held by co-host nations (AUS & NZ). The growth of the tournament also extends to the number of countries participating. This years World Cup held 64 games, for the first time ever.
